A decent novel, feels fresh, though a bit different tone than many others on this site. Like, imagine Plague Doctor, Thriller Paradise, Lord of Enigma or even Lord of the Mysteries (there was also another novel that didn't get out of trial, i can't recall the title that was going from parody to horror extremes and vice versa) - a dark world that is slowly pieced together for us readers, but it's.. not some calculative, confident MC, but two highschoolers that take the lead to unravel the picture, oh and they're so clueless about the dark side as well it seems like. The POVs are great, the background shown so far doesn't make the world any colorful, but.. at the same time, it's mixed with highschool reasoning and drama, haha. A really weird yet entertaining mix up. What's missing from this kind of setting so far in the 40 chapters is probably a sudden plot twist where sh...t goes down and the scene turns into bloodbath with these peaceful - at least on surface - people's heads rolling en masse. But honestly i like the current pace, so no need, no need. The things that bothered me though is the very concentrated exposure on the two guys, and the other thing is about the girl's mother - later MC realizes there's no such thing as mother and father because children are govt-raised. So.. how come the girl had an already dead dad, and lived with her mother for years when growing up? Did i miss something while reading at 3a.m.?

LIKEFrom what I understood, the author was paid to advertise certain brands and other stuff and has to write an appropriate amount of words on time, hence it might get weird at times. Also, are the Observer and Maiden the future selves of these two MCs? So far it points so, especially the words from Observer about being currently weak, plus he knows how to build a magic not yet recorded in this transhumanist empire.
