Will try. Sounds like Release that Witch, hopefully it's a decent alternative as I really loved RtW. Will update after reading a few chapters.

Liked it!
LIKErelease that witch is something completely different, this story portrays the growth of the world and civil war without magical elements, and portrays it faithfully but a little forced (it's a fiction, and the author is not an albert einstein to calculate exactly what would happen, mainly in the 13th century which we have little information about) how the world reacts to the advances of the MC... besides world history being different (for example: the Catholic Church and the Evangelical Church are kind of in a kind of alliance, which strengthens and very much their positions)
Doesn't matter in the end as I dropped it. I heard the MC has no cohesion with regards to his morals and decision making which I really dislike.

I’m not quite sure who told you that but he does have consistent decision making processes. One of the things explored in this novel is that as Berengar holds more power, the more ruthless he becomes to his enemies and the more protective he becomes of his people. It’s Sad to see someone drop a work just because they heard something might happen. Unless you actually have a specific instance of him contradicting his morals I would highly recommend you to keep reading, but that’s Just my two cents.

my friend read it drop everything you are doing and read it with an open mind yeah the mcs knowledge is practicallty god gift yeah the workers of kufstein are also god craftsmen to create the machinery in a few days but about the morals part... rather than a just sticking to what he was before he changes throughout the story from different 'incidents' gets power drunken and sometimes yeah he kills like not exactly a psychopath but you cant use your modern day logic to medieval times just for people to backstab you later he adapts to his environment because in this time where people lose there lives daily he has his own family and people to protect he can be cruel but... yeah its necessarily as bad as any of the comments you have read just know you are missing out on a good kingdom building and even more impressive historical novel
