Whats happening to webnovel. Once upon a time, I looked forward to my Fridays because of the great books that came out every week. As time passed, the quality dropped slowly, but as Webnovel already had all the good books, this was understable. At some point the gems will run out, and you will have to wait for new ones to be made. But nowadays, the quality of the books webnovel are putting out every week are absolute trash. Absolute garbage. mindless plots, tropes and cliches that have been recycled a thousand times over. I would have to go back months to find a batch of books that had a character with the slightest depth to it. Please Webnovel, give us some good books.

I understand fully, I started using the Webnovel app roughly 2 years ago on another account, and some of the first books I was introduced to were books like The Mech Touch, Legend of The Dragon King, and others like World Online. In my opinion, those books were amazing, and now the books I get recommended, let alone the ones on trial read, are all books I would almost never come close to reading. That, and the fact that we get 19 free chapters now, when we used to get 39, even for the books that didn't get picked.
I used to sleep only 5-6 hours a day because I spent all day reading. Now I'd have to be rich to do that. MTL and free novel sites FTW.
It's not that web novel are choosing completely trashy books but rather from around a year ago they had started taking book, putting them through Google translate and editing the MT translation, thus leaving you with a empty, poorly grammared story with some added confusions whilst reading. This because they had to ad in things or take it away from things in the story because the the end result of the Google translation did not make any sense... Of course this decision was because it was both cheap and easy. No need to pay professional translators.
