The author tries to write a sort of sociopathic character, however, the story lacks all that makes such stories intresting. Character interaction is pretty much non existent, and you could cut out all the scenes with the mc and you'd pretty much have a transcript of the bnha anime for all the difference he causes to the cannon plot line. Events just sorta happen around him, you could exchange him for the literal pile of wet cardboard that happens to be his personality and the entertainment value would remain pretty much the same.
