I like it even though it’s a similar plot to other novels. Maybe because it’s written well and the FL is really great 🤔. She’s mature and the book does not have those super over the top annoying characters that appear every second chapter (you know the ones I mean). Another great thing is that it seems more realistic than other books I’ve read. Yes, I know that sounds weird since this is a transmigration novel, but the FL gets into her new body and realizes she can’t automatically do everything she did in her past life. She has to train from scratch and build up her muscle, as well as her life, to get where she used to be. The process is slow. I loved this attention to detail because it felt more realistic. I mean, crazy things can happen but there has to be a line drawn. This book is great so far - I can’t wait to see what’s next 😃👍🏼

This is my second review! I went back and re-read the first 40 chapters of ‘From sidekick to Bigshot’ 😅. To be honest I read a lot of novels so they often blend into one in my brain 🥲, especially when they have similar plots. When I initially read Bigshot, there were over 300 chapters out. At the time I binge-read them all but after that I never continued to read because I hate waiting for updates💩! I see now there are over 700 chapters available. That being said, even though reading this book gave me Deja Vu, I could not give a name for the book it reminded me of. So many people were saying that it was too similar in the comments though and some even said it was plagiarism. Since I had the time I went back and read the beginning of Bigshot again. I have to admit, between chapters 1-20, there is A LOT of overlap between the two books. To the extent where it was like there were actual paragraphs copied and pasted directly 😖😭❤️🩹. I could understand why so many people were speaking about the books being too similar. Aiya~…. However, between chapters 21-40 you see Hidden Boss find it’s own flow. The books individual identity starts to show and the plots of each book start deviate from each other -making Hidden Boss and Sidekick to Bigshot begin to feel different. At times in the beginning it did feel like I was reading two versions of the same story. I’m not sure which book was written first though. I also genuinely enjoy both books 🤷🏽♀️. Whether Hidden Boss’s author will continue to follow the path to being individual and stands out on it’s own - only time will tell. I’m liking it so far so I hope the author does keep on writing.

I've reached out to the author and she will do her best to satisfy her international readers with fresh new plots.

i really hope it's not too similar to the other one. I don't hate reading similar kinda stories but if the plot is almost line by line copied than it's not worth the time
