I started reading this story because the premise is interesting. However, as the story goes on, the story started becoming redundant. The so-called netizens and high IQ characters continue to act stupidly. Every action and reaction was a rehash of the previous scenes. Despite seeing the true face of Jiang Man, they continue to believe her acts, as if the previous incidents were deleted from their minds.Whereas, the protagonist, Jiang Li, always acts passively during every provocation. She only acts when the issue raised in the plot is a big one like her retaliation against her "parents" for arranging her kidnapping. I understand that this story seems to want to show that true strength will always win. However, it is being overly done right now and the plot does not seem to be moving forward. In fact, I can't seem to sense any desire for revenge in the protagonist's actions. To me, it has become to look like she's just too lazy to deal with her enemies. And that, if they don't provoke her, she would not act.
I've read some novels having the same premise that exceeded 3000 chapters but, although some scenes were rehashed, they were done in such a manner that you would not think, "are people really this stupid?"
I'm not saying this to bash the story or question the ability of the author. I really like this story. However, by the time I've reached the 100th chapter, the scenes began falling into a pattern. First, Jiang Li will do something that brings her talent into the light. Then, Jiang Man will either steal her work or make it seem like Jiang Li has harmed her. Thus, people around them, except for a few who has enough brain matter to see through the act, will begin supporting Jiang Man and denounce Jiang Li for being an evil, cold-hearted sister. Afterwards, things will happen to the effect that it will show that Jiang Li has true strength or will prove that Jiang Man is being a vicious schemer. Rinse and Repeat.
I've reached chapter 179 of this novel and I intend to continue reading it. I just hope that this series of mini plots will stop treating its side characters poorly as well as make the protagonist more proactive when it comes to people denouncing her. I wish to see some plot development soon so that this book does not become the same as others.
I like that most of the issues presented in the novel are easily dealt with. I just wish that every face-slapping would yield better results than just simply whitewashing Jiang Li's reputation. It feels like the people who made trouble got off with a simple slap on the wrist despite almost causing such a tragedy towards others.
I also like that the way the protagonist slowly falls in love with the Male Lead is not forced. I especially like that the Male Lead is not one of those domineering types who listens to other people but refuses to believe the person he loves.
I have high expectations for this novel and I intend to finish this as soon as all the chapters have been released.
