I am reading this, as this is one of the rare LLS fanfic. Given the things overlooked or skimmed over in canon, LLS has plenty of potential for fanfics. Just following canon plot, but carrying out the events differently could be fun. Cultivating a few new beast alone could alter the events, without changing the final outcome thus keeping the plot close to canon.
