Review Detail of Hermit_The_Frog in The Bored Immortal

I think my biggest gripe with this novel is it feels like it lacks progress and purpose. I enjoy the writing and the character has personality. But it really feels like Im watching a tv show where they didnt cut out all of the mundane interactions in between. The tv show is still there and Im sure its great, but all of this purposeless dialogue makes it feel like a slogfest while Im just trying to reach the next plotpoint. The character also feels unnecessarily shallow. He flirts with any women that breathes using his ten pack and handsome face. But the reason for this isnt made out to be some deep character flaw from his past that he tries to run away from. No hes just bored and horny. It feels purposeless. Again I actually reeeally enjoy this writing style and the main character has a personality, it just feels like a lot of what I read lacks purpose.
