OK. I’m finally done with this story and even though I don’t entirely regret reading it to the end, I can’t recommend it. The sexy ML is very deceptive and cowardly, while preaching honesty and punishing his sub for her natural reactions to his inconsistent behavior. The FL has fleeting moments of self-worth which flash by faster than a bolt of lightning and then are gone when she returns to her normal doormat personality. I kept waiting for character growth for both of the Leads but that never happened and it was just more of the same until “miraculously” the happy ending. So if these type of characters are acceptable to you then the occasional hot scene they have will really be all that more enjoyable. Unfortunately, the hot scenes were not enough for mr to like this book. Moving on.
