To put it simply, this novel is disappointing. While the writing is alright and easily understandable, the story pace is simply too fast. Every chapter feels like a summary with a few dialogues here and there. It's impossible to understand the reasoning behind the characters' actions. The ML is... we can't even say he's mysterious since none of his actions made any sense. At one point he's nice to her, then cold and angry, then obsessed and seemingly in love with her? All in like three chapters? And the other characters are no better. They might even be worse. If the story has been more developed, it could have been amazing. However, in his current state, it's not worth losing time reading it.

Exactly! Although I'm not sure if the problem is with the translator or with the author. I mean, it's obvious that things always get lost in translation but... so much? And reading the other reviews makes me wonder whether we read the same novel or not 😅

it really look like half of it was removed, I'll be curious to read the raw to see if the novel is just very short or if wn just randomly decided to cut the story. there is always strange review, knowing that even if ml is a racist a lot of ppl will say how sweet and good the story is. here at least the story is okay just too short 🤷♀️
