Don’t believe the hype. This novel is terrible. It progresses pretty fast and a lot of things are just forced and make no sense. MC is a bland character that suffers from all the clichés possible and becomes a trash character I can’t stand. I don’t mind a story with a villain mc as long as it’s done well. In this story it’s not. Spoilers ahead!!! Cliché #1: MC is an Orphan with no parents Cliché #2: MC is a loner with no friends Cliché #3: MC is bullied by everyone is his class, even the teachers Cliché #4: MC is bullied by everyone in his orphanage Cliché #5: MC is bullied or ostracized by everyone in his school Trash moment #1: MC threaten girl into having s*c with in the 2nd chapter Trash moment #2: Even though MC is a loner with no friends and no experience with girls, apparently he is good at s*x Trash moment #3: Even though the girl is technically being r*ped, she begins to enjoy it Trash moment #4: Girl then supposedly falls in love with him Trash moment #5: MC thinks about doing this to all women Trash moment #6: Author starts to foreshadow that the mother of the girl will sleep with him in the future, or at least try Trash moment #7: MC is a complete idiot Trash moment #8: Author tries to say that even though MC is a serial killer and a r*pist, he still has “light” in his heart and that he’s on the side of “good” and he does everything for the sake of “true justice” instead of personal revenge Trash moment #9: Author or translator doesn’t know where the MC is at and mixes up Chinese and the United States Trash Moment #10: MC starts killing again in front of a lot of people and is instantly called a “demon from hell” then a “demon from the abyss” then is said to be super powerful to the point where none of humanity can stop him Trash moment #11: Author introduces another female that is obvious that the MC will most likely r*pe her just like the first one and most likely magically becomes infatuated with him Trash moment #12: The MC refers to the girl as a tool to vent himself, which is saying that she is nothing but his s*x slave, and the author refers to her as a s*x sleve later, and the girl just follows the guy without minding it This author other can’t get a girl or has been rejected too many times so he treats women like trash or as material to live out his fantasies of dominating women. I tried to continue the story because of the system looked like it had potential, but I couldn’t stand it anymore.

Complete and utter trash. Right after getting the system the MC becomes a psychopath who murder and rapers anyone he wants. His character development is horrible and just plain sad.

This is translation review, not novel review. If you are not familiar with it, webnovel has started westernizing most of the novels in 2021. This is awful practice that kills original novel. At best you get only names, places and organizations westernized and at worst you get half novel gutted and other half totally rewritten by translator. With best case scenario you get only names, places and organizations westernized which introduces plotholes cause while names are westernized, actual writing and character culture arent. You get chinese way of thinking, chinese places and organizations translated into most famous western (USA) alternatives and as a result you see absurdity. And with the worth case scenario, you are not actually reading original authors work, but some "translators" plagiarization cause half novel is removed (sometimes critical explanations) and other half is badly rewritten. And cause this requires so much work compared to normal translation, either webnovel is stealing original authors work and rewriting it (cause most of those novels dont come from qidian) or they are just using translators that dont know chinese so they are rewriting story with help of MTL (seen too many edited MTL translations lately on webnovel). overall any westernized novel deserves automatic 1 star review.
