This is my first review lol after being in webnovel for three years. Finally the first book I read here has finally gotten a manga adaptation! Excited to read!

So the Novel "Dragon King's Son-in-law" got an adaptation. "nice" was my first thought. my thought after reading the first 3 chapters: FASTEN YOUR SEATBELTS, THIS IS GOING FAST. it seems this novel adaptation wants to end the story as soon as possible with only 2-3 (short!) chapters we are already 10-11 chapters deep into the 791 chapters longe novel story... it rushes from point to point...

the novel was absolutely great!! I really love it. But this here is just a bad joke. I was super excited when I saw that the novel now got a Comic. But they just compressed the the first 8 chapters of the novel in only one????? The Characters a here in the comic just flat and a bad joke. Plus the don't look like what they where described in the novel and are out off character. The most ridiculous thing is the relationship between Zi and Hao Ren here that is just not right.

It’s nice to see this book getting a comic adaptation. Thank goodness the art doesn’t look... wonky or anything. And unlike the other comics on here, translations actually pretty good (as far as I can tell from just 5 chapters), but the translator(s) does make some questionable choices cause I can not, for the love of me, think of anyone who has ever used the word “coitus” before. Apart from all that, the only thing I can complain about is the pacing, it’s just all over the place and you can tell that they cut out a lot of the book as well. Did they literally just cover 14 chapters from the book in just 5 chapters? I’m telling you, even speed runners aren’t that fast. If you haven’t already, go read the book first, same name as the comic. I can tell you that if you like the book, you won’t necessarily like the comic,but if you like the comic, then you’ll definitely like the book.

Pace... Tsk* This novel version is one of the novels I found worth reading. I love it. But look how they messed it up with this so-called adaptation. They made the pace so fast, changes also occurred, and more flaws can be seen as you continued. They also lock the chaps too early like; okay, I hope you gonna be rich with that. Anyway, I rated it as one star because I'm not okay with this so-called messed-up adaptation.

Loved this comic but unfortunately it apears to have been either randomly dropped or just stopped. Disappointing that Webnovel does this so frequently with books
