One of the best stories I have ever read, everything that is expected of a Chinese web novel that marks you much more than Western books If you have already searched for several books, it is even interesting but ends up losing interest in the middle. I understand you and I can guarantee that this is one of the only ones that managed to keep my interest from beginning to end. I've read the Chinese raws up to 1500+ The story line isn't particularly deep, but it's very engaging. Honestly speaking, I don't think that a deep plot is necessary for a novel of this genre either. What that pulls you into this novel is the interaction between the characters. The characters have their unique personality, and the hilarious way which they interact with one another is what that builds the story. I'll recommend it for those who are looking for a slice of life, doting, comedy, with a pinch of face-slapping from time to time.

This is one of the few novels I've been reading waaaaay back when I was just venturing the CN world. I absolutely love it. Why? I honestly don't know. This is an emotional roller coaster novel that's really unforgettable, it never left my library and I re-read my fave chapters from time to time. Furthermore, this is a novel. Imagination and creativity are the foundations of a novel, so don't expect that it'll be realistic even if set in the modern timeline. Please expect lots of face-slapping instead, it'll satisfy you. I believe that we read to have fun and not speculate if it will happen in real life. Readers should also be mindful of the tags under this novel as it was kind of complex like the other works of this author.
