I had high hopes for this and even igonred those negative reviews. But honestly, I was dissapointed. At first it was exiting since the concept was good and all but after a while its starts becoming boring, it feels like a drag reading it more since its basically just a shortened and summarized version of the original story. There was not much originality and was basically just adding a lesser version of arthur in the story. Like, the process in which he aquires his abilities, mana beast, will and stuff is the same as arthur with only a slight difference. And in someway the author just splits the role of the original arthur into two. For example, some lines and scenes acted by arthur in the original novel is now played by the new mc. In simpler terms its like splitting the scenes and lines of the original arthur into two (art and fey) and duplicating the things art has into two with only some difference.

LIKEYeah, there's little to no originality in the beginning, well this is the first time I've tried writing a fanfic so I did go through with canon, add to the fact I would have made the characters ooc I had changed a lot more things. The process how he acquires his abilities, a "beast will"....all I'll say is there is more to his will than meets the eye. There are a lot of changes I have planned, major changes begin from right after widows crypt, which by the way isn't so far. Book 4 begins the explanation of a lot of things and the mysteries of Noctis. Up until now what could I have changed? I could have kept him with his parents perhaps, but then the way he gets his powers, a 'beast will', that would have been a problem to add. And there would have been a plothole then. Hence I had to keep him in the negative zone. Yeah some lines are split between the two because honestly I had nothing to add there. Yeah I mean I could have had Fayden stay quiet but then he would become even more of a 'side character'. And a lesser version of Arthur, really? He's stronger than Arthur currently, and he will be even after the time skip. That is if I don't buff Arthur enough. But to each their own I guess.
What is the use of him having more power than Arthur if he just doesn't do anything with it. I wish Mc is more active. ..
Stronger doesn't mean much when you don't do anything with that strength... Also the "cliffhangers" you seem to be proud of, are you really surprised by anything when you read it watch it again the second time. It was like reading a cliff notes version of the original with an extra character
True, but he does use his strength. Not yet, not in the earlier, more peaceful arcs, but in the more violent ones. Of course reading it a second time no one would be surprised by the cliffhangers since they already know whats going to happen. A cliffhangers not a cliffhanger if the person knows exactly what happens next. Besides if the person is re-reading then cliffhangers shouldn't even bother him since the next chapter already exist.
