Review Detail of TwistedLove in Blood Elf Monarch

I really enjoyed the story until Tristan went to visit the elves. I was irritated with the nerf but I dealt w it since the author likes to nerf Emery, however, I’m seriously not a fan of forced marrage. & that is where the story goes left for me. In the beginning, Tristan was a calculating person who valued his freedom bc of life’s circumstances. But now he’s given a “choice” between the elf queen or her daughter bc of some prophecy. With Tristan’s personality, I would have expected more resistance(internally at the least since he’s still weak), but there was none of that. Because they are beauties everything is great & well he would probably have to marry anyway, might as well get a beauty 🙄😑. In addition, the princess doesn’t like him, nor does she want to marry him(& he doesn’t particularly like her either). This feels more like character regression instead of progression. Whether Tristan won the event and married the princess or queen, idk. I’m frustrated bc I genuinely like this book & can’t understand why the writer chose this route. Anyway, Pros: grammar is good, action scenes are exciting, world building is interesting, was excited to see if Tristan would form his own kingdom with human/non human army Cons: Forced marriage, personality changes(regression), beloved family member basically held hostage to keep the MC in check Conclusion: Not a bad novel, I did enjoy the ride while it lasted.
