At chapter 41(the free chapters) To summarize what this novel is about, basically, the MC is from our world with extensive knowledge on our games. He uses the nightmare worlds to recreate some games which become popular. This contrasts other nightmare worlds which are generally just pure torture instead of fun torture like dark souls for example. For the review, I think it is very addictive to read. It, like the author's other book uses media from our world and introduces it to another world. Just that this time the media in question consists of popular games. If you like the authors other book or similar genres, this is a good extension of those ideas. There are not too many characters so far but none seem unpleasant or unfitting. The MC himself is generally mature and calm which while is not the most unique, is not hateful. For the plot, I feel like the beginning seems to cut into the action a bit too quickly but it successfully drew me in by the first couple chapters. The following developments also seem a bit fast paced and I would be okay with a bit more detail in the MCs creation of the nightmare worlds but those that just want to skip the the action would enjoy the pacing. Overall, the plot seems to consist of smaller arcs surrounding each game and the appropriate reactions of the side characters, and a larger over arching plot centered around the MC having to protect his nightmare worlds against what are essentially hackers sent by competing companies. I also have to address the "nationalism" that many reviews seem to be pointing out. In my opinion, it is barely there. It is definitely not on the level that I have seen some novels depict japanese people as. The author is Chinese, the MC is Chinese and it is only appropriate that the market competition and therefor the enemy are foreigners, this case being Americans and Europeans. While China in the story is definitely put in a better light than the other countries, the author is not disparaging other countries, their cultures, economy, government ect. It is just that in this fictional world, the fictional China is better at the fictional job of managing dungeons than other countries. The other reviewers seem to be blowing the issue out of proportion. If not for the anti nationalism reviews, this novel would probably be around a 4.6, 4.7 range around this time and would probably stabilize at around 4.6. Overall this is kind of like a fresh take on something like black tech internet cafe. There are also an additional element of market competition but it seems unlikely that they will play as a particularly difficult opponent for the MC unlike in something like the Mech touch. More comedy based with high amount of references to well known games, this novel is a joy to read and I will continue. Hopefully it doesn't randomly stop like with the author's other book.
