Well, this was quite a read based on it's current state. It's dark, it's bleak, it's explicit but not insanely too much, it's just about enough to build up that mature atmosphere. This was also written nicely, we get enough time to get to know Regina, her character as well as the situation she has to go through. The writing here is the most superior aspect of this novel. Things that may need some additional work would be the cast. Regina's character is as clear as crystal, but I'd like to see more from her and how she deals with these things being thrown at her. Perhaps for any character whose an antagonist, spice it up more, make them threatening to the reader to the point where they root for the hero (or anti-hero, who knows) that is Regina. Been a while since I read a dark novel, and the author did a good job conveying that without trying too hard. So good job.
