I'll start off by saying that if you have read any of Pancakes' other novels you'll know what to expect from this novel. I'm not the best at writing reviews, but I'll try my best (going all out for my favorite author on this site). CURRENT READING STATUS: Chapter 40 Writing Quality: Pancakes has great writing quality, grammatical errors are extremely rare. The most obvious errors is when Pancakes mistakes character names for characters from their other novels. This isnt a big deal, however it might bother some readers. Stability of Updates: All that I can say is that Pancakes has a fantastic update schedule and all of their novels are updated regularly and all of these updates leave you wishing it was a mass release! Pancakes announces all release for their novels on their discord, so be sure to join if you want to be the first to read the new chapters. (Shameless fan promotion!) Story Development: If you have read EoC or DQR then you know that Pancakes has created and hinted at their novels being part of a larger universe, more on this in the world background section. Progression wise, the story moves at what I find a good pace. There is action which drives power progression and everything in-between for character development. Character Design: I really enjoy the characters introduced throughout the novel so far. Noah the protagonist experienced the cruelty of being weak in a power based society, and didnt let his experiences consume him. While he yearns for greater strength, he isn't a brainless cultivation novel young master that challenges everyone for the slightest transgression against him. He builds connections with those he surrounds himself with, while it may be due to his abilities, I believe it to be part of his character. The supporting characters close to our MC aren't monotonous and boring and all have their own quirks and back story that make them unique. World Building/Background: I really enjoy novels with dungeons appearing during modern times. I get some Solo Leveling vibes with variation that doesn't make this type of world setting dull. This can be seen in how hunter progress, and aren't locked or stuck in their ranks like other dungeon novels. The system functions in the novel aren't ridiculously blown out of portion, each aspect makes sense for the world, and our MC. The system in this novel is quite similar to the systems in Pancakes' other novels. Besides this Pancakes layers in bread crumbs that connect with all of their other novels, and all of these aspects leave the reader curious as to how Pancakes is going to trickle in elements from their other novels. All mythical elements that Pancakes incorporates all extremely well researched (when applicable) and fall into place perfectly. In conclusion I really enjoy reading any of Pancakes' novels and this novel is no exception. There are consistent updates, all of which are of high quality. Give the novel a shot and see what happens. Hope that you enjoy it as much as I have so far.

Real Score: 3.9/5 (12/28/21 See you in 2022 Webnovel, Also FIX YOUR SCORING SYSTEM ALREADY!) Title: Just stick with it, cuz it has some cool concepts later on. I'm going to say this now, but you probably won't like the story right away and normally I advocate just skipping something if it doesn't catch your attention all the way. I'd rather eat an average, plain-old five course meal to its end, than a five course meal that only has one or two good servings. But, an analogys aside if you get through the boring, borderline edgelord emo- goth Pandering fist chapters main character you will be rewarded with: Robot Girls. I am dead serious that was the only reason I slogged through this horrible beginning of a story for the very personal interest in robot girls. Yea, its selfish. So What! I slogged through the opening, I write the reviews. So, I get to make the rules. NO COMPLAINING! For the rest of the story it does get better later on, but again I've never advocated a story for that reason. Even if fans don't come back to that story arc, to re-read it. They should be interesting to read and explore on the first read- through. If you want some cool vampire powers the protagonist does some pretty cool stuff with blood powers later on. And it's got some pretty cool high- concept stuff that you can take away from. But Pancakewitch has done better story's at this point in time and they're more worth your time and attention. But if you just want a somewhat competent Power fantasy, then this works.
