Thanks for reviewing my work, I really appreciate your support! About the weapons: The spear was an overlook on my part and I'm editing the story to use it. From chapter 50 onwards, the villagers are using spears instead of stone knives. As for axes and hammers, I considered it, but I was trying to do something different from the common martial paths. It's a risk, but I have a nice plan for the defenders in the long run... Now, about Karl using the elements to improve himself. The idea probably crossed his mind, but elemental magic a little more complicated (If you can, read my other novel Harbinger of D, it's just 9 chapters). First, each level of crystal gives access to more properties, the low quality only gives access to affinity and basic properties. Affinity to wind would help run faster (like magically increasing your aerodynamics and lower air resistance). The basic properties could help him think faster, but using Arrays directly on the body it's very dangerous (We'll address the topic later in the novel), otherwise, they would just draw Runes on their bodies... I can't go into details without giving spoilers, but I can point out one simple problem of using magic directly in the body, magic poisoning. The normal body doesn't respond well to large quantities of magic energy, which are also present in elemental magic, of course, this is one of the smaller problems. I put a lot of thought into the magic system, my magic glossary has more than 100 pages, but even so, I probably missed other points.
