I saw in another review that this is a massive rip off of "Swallowed Star". I mean who would refuse for another Swallowed Star? I'm in, and I'm in big time.

LIKEYeah, sorry to dissapoint, but this is nowhere near the quality of Swallowed Star. The darned book gives you more questions than it cares to answer (while also throwing at you basic physics to distract you), and the MC acts like a power-hungry control freak. Even ignoring the questionable-at-best world building, the lackluster characters (20 chapters in we still don't know anything about our protagonist), and the rather... boring... alien invasion, this novel manages to make me care more about the horrendous lack of the author's understanding of everything human psyche related. The entire school board just up and vanishes, leaving boarding students(?) to fend for themselves. No effort is made to contact people other than their respective parents, so no reinforcements from police or the like. There is no panic, only horror - no, that's wrong, please pardon me. Mild discomfort. At least they all show some reaction when the bugs come out. I can't really say I hate this novel for it's flaws, but they certainly don't give it any unique charm.
