The ending, and pretty much the last two arcs... It was just... Weird... to say the least. Thanks for reading and the review!

Why whats with the ending?

This author cannot stop himself from making endings that effectively annihilate any relationships and powers the MC builds up throughout the novel in the ending. (“reset” endings) the MC is given a choice of returning to his world or staying in the world of his novel. Both choices have their consequences: if he returns to his world, the disappearance of the creator's soul will destroy the novel's world; if he decides to stay, everything related to the story and the privileges of the author will be taken away from him, including his relationships with others. He decides to stay, and as expected his friends start slowly forgetting him. They eventually remember him, but the way it was done was not satisfying at all. P.S: Oh, and in the final arc some people learn of Hajin's identity as an author but it doesn't really matter at all

the author seemed to be running out of ideas... but extra novel's is definitely in the top5 of all I read... too bad the ending was very lame...

Yes, and he actually had a lot of problems ending it, like days without posting and things. Going around and around, until he kind of forced himself to finish it... Too sad though, it was indeed one of the best korean novels I've read too.

It's just the author of the novel has fetish of making horrendous ending, his other novel ( a monster that level up) ending is even worse.

That's opening an old scar man... It went so well... Just for everything to go downhill pretty fast at the end...

Yeah... Even while knowing what awaits at the end... It's impossible not to read his books! xD I even read them a few times (two for a monster who levels up and like four for The Novel's Extra, and I'm reading it a fifth time xD)

know whut the worst part is? Nayun's problem still didn't get resolved in the end spoiler alert author just yeeted her some regression stone for her to escape reality for another redo, she still had that love/hate mixed feelings about MC too so yeah... fck that its frustrating

Agreed. The Novel’s Extra needs some retuning in some places. Omniscient Reader Viewpoint had some kinks to work out, but it at least had a satisfying end. No ‘but they remember by the power of love and friendship’, just a full cycle for the story to the beginning. Though I guess that’s what you can expect from a META novel like this. I’m pretty sure Kim Hajin is more of a reader template than a character, his actions have logic and consistency… but he doesn’t really emotionally invest as much as others. Kim Dokja (from ORV) at least felt sympathetic to some and had ‘uncool’ traits that made you feel the kind of guy he is, but Kim Hajin is just a regular guy doing things most people would do in his circumstances (arguably).

got to agree with you man, that whole ending arcs were kinda trashy. like having a chef cook in front of you with the best ingredients possible only for the end result to taste like average food
