You want nationalism, you got it. You want fine translation quality to be the best part of a novel, you got it. You want a decent premise to fall flat almost immediately, you got it. This novel has everything!!

The translation quality was awful, many parts flat out make no sense in English, mostly when it involves the system.

It was useless to command it by using his consciousness." "There is a system. There is energy. Could this be a dark blue point system? I am about to take off!' 'Dark blue points… No, a system that adds points.'" This is the sort of stupid translation you can expect.
I've gotten to the point where if I usually understand what is being said I give 3+ in translation, but I suppose that's more sympathy than objective criticism.
