Honestly I did think of doing that but I didnt want to mess up his personality, nor did I want to end up retelling the plot that already exists. I wanted another perspective to One Piece with my own wish-fulfilment included. I also wanted to include my own DF idea so I ended up going with and OC. Thanks for the review!

That's a shit idea. Reincarnating as the MC always sucks. Going for the secondary/side characters or something like that is way better
