Not bad in terms of future development, as the author left themselves room to expand into his past life and tie it on to his present one. What I find jarring are the conversations, the speech of the main character Delta doesn't resemble a mercenary because he is somewhat vain when speaking. Even if the author writes how he is 'cautious' in his movements, he is quite ignorant overall to his situation: but somehow acts like is fully aware of his situation, which makes him seem arrogant and quite foolish(considering he was betrayed in his past life). This is why the rating is not too high but average.

If the arrogance and foolishness you are referring to is MC's behaviour during and since the enrollment ceremony, then I can say that there was a reason behind that, and would advise you to wait and see what happens next, as this might clear up some of the doubts you may have.
