I love how the story is going and that he is not to op in the beginning and has to work to get stronger and try to go for balance and i like how he is not the type to just randomly kill someone

still authors exaggerate and just make the MCs act over the top. Like I once saw a novel where the MC was robbed, they did not want to kill him or anything they just wanted his money. A beating would be enough right? The MC then proceeds to torture, kill, and literally capture their souls to put in a personal hell he had for all eternity.
