The story could have been good if not for the mc becoming some kind of subordinate to the OG mc and it became some sort of like a side story but on the mc's pov as the new side character, If only the mc killed the OG mc in the first place then the author could have probably start a new route where we get to see the mc as the real Main Character and not some kind of Side Character inserted by the author, But, Alas the Author didn't do so and still followed the canon LoL, The only difference you could probably see if we compared this ff and the Canon is that this ff is the perspective of an Beta male side character mc scared to change the OG plot even though he had the power to change to his will whilst the canon is the the main story where the mc is not a beta but an alpha male who do what he wants unlike this ff mc
