If you notice, translating takes a lot of time too. The conversion of a chinese fanfic also requires making the story relatable to the actual harry potter world. The grammar, tenses and the constant shift between 1st and 3rd persons need to be corrected for the optimal reaading experience of the reader.

Why do translators even deserve to be paid? They should work for free and survive by eating dumpster pizza.
