I really wanted to read this novel because I like the storyline and the world background, but i couldn't, because it's written in 'first person' and I prefer to read novels that are written in 'third person', it's more enjoyable that way. Instead of reading "I roared" I prefer to read "She roared"

That is a personal preference, and I fully understand that you would like a 3rd person pov. However, if you stuck with it, you might end up appreciating a whole new way of reading and opening up a whole bunch of books for you that you have not read yet.
