Yet another story of a selfish MC. Very little character interaction, and the world building is non-existent. The MC has little to no redeeming qualities, his only goal is to “get strong,” and he cares not at all for anyone around him. Will most likely have a harem tacked on without any regards to romance, logic, or common sense. The only quality of this story that I liked was that the MC actually has to train to become strong.

This review is pretty accurate. The translation isn't bad, but this story has a straight up villain mc who is basically a sociopath. He kills and mutilates people for petty reasons, and his relationships all seem kind of hollow since he gets off on bringing other people around to his own twisted world view. He has no genuine friends. He's basically Doflamingo if he was the protagonist.

The story isn't mine bro, it's just a translation.

Well, a selfish Mc is way better than a dump naive friendly Mc *Cough* Naruto *cough*

I’m not a fan of completely naive MC’s, but I don’t like villain ones. They aren’t relatable, and I find myself hoping they get smacked down. Take this story, I keep hoping Garp comes along and punches him into the atmosphere. You can be nice and friendly without being an idiot, something that Anime in general has a very hard time understanding. I’m more of a fan of James Bond style MC’s. Skilled, tough, ruthless when needed, but willing to help and solidly on the side of the good guys.

Why is that bad? why should he care about others. your review is dumb your saying mc should go play pathetic hero wannabe in One Piece where he will get killed instantly for it smh just goes to show How dumb the review is Getting Stronger is the only way for MC to be free without having to worry.

I do not believe sociopathy to be the best way of going about life. If you honestly believe that, perhaps you should speak with a psychiatrist? You don’t enjoy strangling the neighbors pets do you? There is a large difference between being a sociopath and allowing everyone to walk all over you. Whitebeard is the epitome of strength in the world of One Piece, and he doesn’t go around murdering people for kicks. Your argument is invalid.

Lol you say that yet forget that Whitebeard was part of the Rocks Pirates the reason that so called Whitebeard doesn't do anything is cause he is considered the strongest and has the power to the point that noone messes with him. just saying in OP power is everything morals don't matter.

actually if u are still there turns out most of anime community prefers naive and idiot mc , tabata tried making an intelligent MC in a manga called hungry joker and that idea was immediately shut down

u don't need to sociopath to gain strength , sociopathy is a dangerous mindset to have regardless of which world u end up in

While I do agree that that does seem to be the case in general, there isn’t any one example that can prove it. I have never even hear of Tabata, much less Hungry Joker, so it could have failed for simply not having enough exposure more than any content issue. It is like looking at the reasons that foreign movies fail in the US. Sure, you can say it is because we Americans are racist…and you wouldn’t really be wrong. But it also ignores the fact that American movie companies are the undisputed leaders of commercial entertainment, and put out more content than any one person could ever consume. Why would the average American watch foreign movies with often badly dubbed dialogue, when there are more movies in their native language than they could ever possibly watch. Only the best of the best of foreign entertainment will ever be noticed here as long as that situation continues.

no that's it it , when asked the problem with manga it was stated that the mc is too intelligent and serious , they said that those kinds of mc doesn't appeal to their teenage audience also note even if ppl from the west and beyond watch anime , the main dictators who decide whether an anime falls or rises , is the japanese audience and Japanese didn't find a too serious and intelligent mc appealing
