This comment(review) worth sh*t in the eyes of webnovel. They only care about money...ok scratch that...i don't even know what they care about at this point.

To be fair though, I would pay good money for the world of deities continuation. The first 60 chapters are masterpieces. The novel is so complex that it is unreadable in MTL. The writing is beautiful, characters are unique and fleshed out. MC is an ACTUAL genius with his intellect and deduction. Beautiful novel.

This is an average cultivation novel hidden (badly) in European clothes. You have everything: a MC that is 'really mature and cruel and intelligent for his age' and that has multiple OP cheats, a random beautiful woman that is impressed by the MC, a young master that enters in a conflict with the MC that escalates quickly: Basically the young master and his gang try bullying the MC, saying that he's a fool an being quite annoying, even phisically. So what does the MC do? Does he make fun of them with some wordplay? Does he threateningly tell them to stop? Does he reason with them and seek support from a teacher? Nah he f*cking punches the young master until he bleeds. Then he proceeds saying things like: "if I didn't hit him he would've continued" earning the admiration of the beautiful woman. Maturity 999/100 Of course the young master continues (mission failed successfully) and brings... his father in! Bruh. Of course the MC hides his strength and connections so that the father feels superior. He half-pays half-threathens the MC into submission and, surprise! The MC was hiding his strength all along. Luckily it doesn't end in a bloodbath (for now), but it is still s*upid. Still, people who like 'righteous' vengeance will love this Then there are things like the fact that the MC excessively hids his talent so that he won't receive resources, but whatever. Now, let's see how it differs from the standard cultivation novel. First of all the MC instead of using willpower, he uses the much better 'method'. That's how he justifies his arrogance. Then bloodlines are called 'spirit talents'. Then Qi is called magic. Finally nobody ever says cultivation and instead says 'absorb divine power' or things like that. Another issue I found are the little holes in worldbuilding like the fact that the MC has a better meditation technique (but like by a s*upidly huge margin) because 'on Earth they had 2000 years to develop it', while on this planet only 300. Well, on Earth your entire existence doesn't revolve around the fact that you're able to better meditate, while there goddamnit, it does! In these 300 years meditation techniques would have made huge strides since everyone would research them since ther damn livelihood would depend on it! But maybe I'm being too harsh: the characters aren't too bad, they're semi-realistic and it is quite enjoyable to read. Still it isn't on the same level of Lord of the Mysteries. By a large margin. I actually dropped this novel for the exact reason 😅. In my opinion the best one should be 'Apocalyptic Forecast' from trial read but it still not without cons. But it good enough for me.

Before i begin please excuse me for my bad spelling, ebglish isn't my native tounge. Allow me to respond, first of all, i respect your objective opinion, but the fact of the matter is, this novel truly is a wonderfull story that gained alot of fans in the chinese market, and the author isn't some one hit wonder and his other novel is basically a novel version of a blockbuster. Check the chinese qidian website, the man does not mess around. He is truly dedicated to his craft. If it was me, not only WOD but other novel that focus on an inteligent mc are the only things i would bring out to show my dedicated readers on qidian.
