The mc killed himself in the first chapter just to give one more bloodline to someone else to enjoy, that's my view when you chose to get one more bloodline with the price being your memories. For real that's the most stupid decision i readed until now in this site, he already got 3 bloodlines to choose from and he was greedy enough to choose to erase his memories just to get another one?
