Review Detail of UndeadBeing in I have Nine Lives

I'm going to tell you now that you might want to skip the first 30 chapters atleast because 1. the cat is scared to "die" with 4 lives left to the point of leaving others to die for him. 2. The cat doesn't do any damage or contribute much to the story, we got a gladiator type scene at the beginning mainly for the purpose of killing a likeable character. 3. The story is pretty annoying at parts, this is coming from someone who enjoys SOME 3 star books, I'm not saying to not read the book but for the first 30 chapters it's mostly a prologue with like a chapter of info that isn't very useful after the gladiator scene. 4. If you're looking for a cat that's able to use his abilities efficiently, you're gonna need to skip till around chapter 30, he doesn't use it much for the first chapters, from 1 to 30 he uses it around 4 times, and it mostly explains the uses of the lives but since I said to skip till chapter 30 I'll tell you, the lives work as a game life from Mario, He has limited lives but he spawns above where he died so basically he falls from above after he dies. And just so you don't figure it out, he's supposedly the descendant of a different race of cats from that world so he gets an ability that allows him to go invisible when he walks and breathes in a certain pattern while other cats can use a different version of that ability. Writing Quality is ok but 1-30 is what I'd call a prologue and it doesn't really give information that's useful and the author doesn't tell us those things. Story Development isn't that great, because even if I like different books at different paces this one is a little on the extreme. Character Design is pretty bad, the mc doesn't use his abilities efficiently and he's more of a side character with a bit of personality(scared of dying with multiple lives) and while I do like many genre's chaoticnuetral doesn't work well with a character that's only chaoticnuetral when he's scared instead of a character that doesn't care and knows he can't or doesn't need to do anything. World Background is pretty good, not great but we do get a good amount of information about the world but it's mostly centered around 2 regions and the rest we get in passing remarks.
