I could not get past chapter 1, I tried my best, but I just can't. I'll rest for a while and I'll try again and edit this. First, my problem with this book is not the grammar and obviously not the story. It's the prose. It is too difficult to read because there's too much adjectives crammed in a single sentence. I, personally, could not get immersed in it. The narration makes no sense, blame me for being slow but the narration is just confusing. The dialogues are awkward, and the author nitpicks every detail and describes them in long, boring paragraphs. I don't know if it was the author or the translation. This work is more like a poetry than a novel.
