I'm not that big of a fan of romance but decided to give this one a try. The story starts off really well, giving us a really good introduction to the main characters, which in this case are the siblings, butler, and then in the later chapters, Sheng Ruming and his clique of assistants. The author builds up the world exquisitely giving us information on the siblings, and on the reason why their relationship became askew. It starts off with an attempted murder which really hooks the reader in, making them ask 'why' it’d take place and what the future may or may not hold. Already, I’m invested into the story. The author really well merges the existences in the story between these two main characters, one being the CEO of a prominent company, and the other being presumed dead. and describes how their encounter possibly will evolve into something else. It also keeps us on our heels, given that the antagonistic character is still active within the story. in conclusion the theme of the novel is one that depends on where you are in the story, it could ranges from a loving theme— to a darker one real quick. I definitely recommend this novel for anybody who is looking for amazing world building, good array of characters and a continuous, beyond interesting plot! The only thing which I find a little bit lacking in the story is the lack of detail on the surroundings and on the characters within. It does gradually get better but having read the initial chapters without getting a good description of how they look like is a bit confusing. Still, do not let that deter you, it gets better! Grammar, diction and syntax 5! Great work author!
