This is basically just BOTW but re-told from a first-person perspective from Link's POV. I know it says 'self-insert' but it really isn't. The MC doesn't really do anything that Link doesn't already do in the game, so it's basically just a re-telling of the game.

Link basically did everything interesting, so not doing the same stuff link did is would limit you to create your own stuff to do something fun i would agree if you said that he doesn't stray off the main story, but besides the Memories and the temples there isn't much of a story-line just side-quests, memories, and temples, beyond that there isn't much of anything in the game

no, i said 'why' he didn't do anything else, since your review made me think that you said its just the same, and i agree, i read the fanfic and its pretty much the same as in the game, i just extended on the why, rather then on the what
