Review Detail of Karigan in

I love this novel (and manga) and was so looking forward to a translation of the novel but unfortunately this feels like it's taken from an mtl website and the translation falls far short of doing it justice. The translator even forgot to remove some of the "for the best reading experience, please read at" lines, sometimes exchanges hs for ks (ie know becomes hnow, kills became hills rather frequently), switches ms for ns, along with other general grammatical errors, etc. Some chapters are better than others but it's not uncommon by any means. The translator also adds their comments in parentheses instead of as a note, which I find can be pretty jarring as it breaks the pacing but that is a personal preference and may not bother everyone. It's normally nice to know the translators thoughts, it just tends to be better as a footnote I find and not in the main body of the text. I should mention this translation isn't completely incomprehensible or anything. You can figure out the gist of what's going on but it is really lacking as a whole. I do appreciate someone putting in the effort to post this here but am afraid I can't rate it highly for the aforementioned reasons. I hope this (both my review and the quality of the translation) won't deter anyone from reading the official manga (licensed on Tapas under Villains Are Destined To Die) or the novel, because I'm a fan of both and hope we will get an official translation of the novel soon.
