Hello there šŸ‘‹ ( be aware this review contain some slight spoiler but no major ) Okay so normally, I donā€™t write review very often, itā€™s my first to be exact Why could you expect from this book ? Pros : World backgroung : -Your typical western fantasy world with goblin, dwarfs, elves, but with many different races in the same species ( moon elves, sun elves, wood elves... ) Also the map is massive with tons of empire containig even more kingdom, at a point I loose myself sometimes. The lore of the world has not been fully explored but it will come in time... Character development : -First our MC is one of the most human like Iā€™ve ever read, he has anger, embarrassment and all the emotions which define who we are. He is also a lamba human, not some son of mafia gang and all. He will passe several ordeals which will make him mature and affirm his will as well as his goal. He is a 19 man, little bit introvert and clueless in relationships but definitely not your typical nerd who is more dense than mercury. He will open more to others with the game and even through there is no romance until now, there is one main ship which is only waiting to sail. Story development : -*Spoiler* Our MC arrive in a world where a beast tide is about to rase every empire, estimed in the next couple of years if not months, so itā€™s a rush to becoming strong with a player community completely disorganised. * End of Spoiler* Character design : -There are several others side characters well made, they didnā€™t feel bland like iā€™ve seen in some other novel. *Spoiler* Some will die, some will lives, and the despair of the MC will be fully felt.* End of Spoiler* Plot armour : ( what iā€™m considering plot armour is heaven sent opportunity, like he has nothing to do. Because he will have oppotunity but at a cost he is not willing to shoulder if he was to have a redo) -There is little to no plot armor in this story, the first one will be he met a powerful guy ( at the start ) but this guy will train him like a normal soldier, not like a family heirloom and giving him all the secret techniques he donā€™t even has. The guy is powerful but only in the city he is. Also the path of the MC will not be a smooth one *Spoiler* , he will choose a very difficult race which magic is blocked so he will experiment many way to unseal it, also he will use every advantage his race talent give him, so if you kinda like jack of all trades itā€™s for you. Also regarding how he can use magic, he will not have the final solution from the beginning, he will experiment many different way, some wrong, some half-wrong and he is still not accustomed to his final form Also with these experiment, he will become quite special, not overpowered but he has the potential to be* End of spoiler*. Cons : -The pacing of the novel may be boring for some people, itā€™s a day to day pacing with IRL elements ( not massive but good enough to understand he is not only playing). Also,he will not become OP in tens of chapter. Iā€™m currently at chapter 196 and he is still at the bottom of the barrel, just slightly stonger than normal player and normal soldier. Also the strength mesurement can be quit confusing for beast and human alike: There is your typical level which you gain by killing ennmies and it give you stat. There is also the job (like swordsman and magician) wich are in Tier ( from 1 to 10, each more difficult to pass with a qualitative change at Tier 5) it also give stats And beast have an other factor( player also has it if they choose a difficult race, powerful advantage but the sytem give no help ), the strength of their body : normal animal->magical beast->demonic beast->bloodline beast->ancient beast-> mythical beast So you have to understand strength is like : body strength*job*level with each less important tha the other : body strength>job>level for example a human tier 7 mage level 50 will be completely destroy by a mythical beast Tier 4 level 30 ( also beast donā€™t have job just tier) ( maybe not but iā€™m giving an example ) And finnaly the biggest problem this novel has for me is..... NOT ENOUGH CHAPTERS šŸ¤¬šŸ˜” (Even through the chapter are really lenghty)

Thank you very much for the review. Nicely structured. I can see how it is confusing for readers (The power levels), it is really clear for me as I actually have an excel spread sheet with all the data. Simply enter their Tier, level, and race and I will get their stats. (A rough basic which will then be slightly changed according to how they spend their days, or rather they training and life experiences.) Human and other races are also included. šŸ˜

Not asking for the spreadsheet but would you mind sharing some info? like in his example how strong is a tier 7 lvl 50 human mage compared to a tier 4 lvl 30 mythical beast? are we talking about a strength difference in less than a hundred, few hundred, thousands??? O.O

Would be easier to explain over discord, and not sure where you are in the story. But as an example, a Tier 4 Alicorn will have stats hovering below a thousand. (variance will depend on the type of creature it is.) Simply put, a Tier 7 will have equivalent stats to the Tier 4 alicorn in strength if his/her class is a melee (int if magic, and agility if range). However, if the person has multiple classes leveled, then that would naturally increase the stats. From levels, the mythical grade creature will have around 500 stats more, despite being lower level. (They gain more per level by a massive amount)

This makes sense, similiar concept where based on unique level of class a person has they get more stat points/skill points. Such as a swordsman (common) gets a 2/3 ratio bit a sword god (legendary) gets a 4/6 ratio, both class changed at lvl 10 and now both are at lvl 40. The SG would wipe the floor with the regular guy.

Not the type of system my story follows, but that is more or less the logic.

QUESTION have spoilers I don't know if matters since is about the beginning of the story. I want to know if the lack of details in certain moments, that bothered me, happens frequently in this novel or if I'm impatient and some of these details are explained later in the story, like when he was choosing his character's race, the Race of the Elves have many variations and with him choosing the High Elves I thought there would be a strong reaction from the NPCs since the high Elves are, as described in the story considered Nobility and the true Elves, so I thought the appearance of one of them would be a shock. right after the MC's encounter with the npc I thought that his lack of reaction would have been because he couldn't identify very that he was an High Elve or know all the difference between the variations of Elves since maybe (I assume) that all Elves have in general one similar appearance, but some time after this npc or his daughter (I don't remember) calls him High Elve so theory discarted. you can say that the lack of reaction was because of their God's warned themabout something, i don't know, but by the description of the High Elve's Race it looked like they were compared demi gods or whatever since it had written that they are depicted as supreme beings, so I thought he deserved a bit of reaction from the npcs. another moment that bothered me was when that guild that was looking at him him sleeping under a tree and after their talk they just disappeared, I expected there would be some interaction between them and the MC about the training as they were, apparently, in a training location, I felt their appearance was kind of forced and that bothered me, i don't know maybe I thought too much about it in this one. another moment was when the MC taught Vivian how to see the progress of her weapon skills and it seemed like an important function to learn and i wish she had told the blacksmith right away, i know she said the function is not very important for people of higher levels, and as I stopped reading the story a little while after that, I don't know if she talks about it to anyone or it disappears as if it didn't exist since it's just a minor detail. The MC wanting to learn how to be a Blacksmith, there's been no mention of him wanting to be one before, this one annoyed me big time and seemed pretty forced. and again I want to know if the storyline is going to have a lot of these "loopholes" because I know I'm going to get frustrated and probably drop the novel and I wouldn't want to drop a novel that looks promising with features that I care like magic. I heard that this story has a magic system like another story I read a while ago, as I have an interest in stories with magic and with a interesting magic system like that one. I thought that the MC of this story was going to focus on using magic which is my interest, and maybe he will i just didn't got there yet. perhaps this lack of certain detail is due to the author maybe being a novice writer and as the story progresses these minor errors no longer appear. I don't want to put down a story that I would probably read to the end because of these minor lacks of detail at the beginning of the story that I hope don't happen later in the story.
