Gonna preface this by saying my expectations ruined this otherwise decent story. Now, I really enjoy Solo leveling so seeing a solo leveling facfic got me super excited and I, admittedly, went into this expecting it to have similar vibes to the original (heavily focused on the action with a slight focus on romance close to the end). Instead, I got a depressed MC with an annoying voice in his head and talking animal companions. Hina, while potentially interesting, was just a turn-off for me as I have become pretty biased against sentient systems as they almost always end up being sultry female voices that incessantly teases (borderline emasculate) the MC.

I agree. Cliches seemed to me as good ideas at the time, not that they do anymore, I don’t like them at all. Some were accidental and the crybaby Yuuki was an example of that as i just wanted to portray character growth. As the author, i dont know what its like to read my chapters until i read the comments. I feel like i could be more successfull with time and effort. Anyway, i dont know which chapter you read to but i can say that i belive he gets less anoyying if you can keep reading (my opinion may be wrong.)
Made it to roughly ch 23 (can't remember if I read ch 23 or not). I usually try to read about 20 or so chapters of a story before forming an opinion. I'll give it another try today.
