MILD SPOILERS So another novel dealing with actors/actresses in China's entertainment industry. LOL. I read the first 60 translated chapters available and had to read the rest through MTL (it was fairly understandable) because that's how much the story caught my attention. Also, for a webnovel this one isn't actually that long ending at 680 chapters. The FL this time is a well educated, rich lady named Feng Nan who wakes up in the body of another girl (Jiang Se). She gets into acting to earn money because of her less than ideal family life and it was also the OG!JS's dream to enter the entertainment industry. There's also someone else residing in her body but as to whether that is the OG!JS you'll have to read the story to find out! One of the highlights for me is the way the author describes the plot of the movies that she films when the film critics watch her movie. I feel like I ended up watching the films myself as I read through the author's descriptions because I could really imagine them. There's an ML who is not a dick but is actually sweet and respectful (the bar is so low!). Their romance is pretty understated as the novel mainly focuses on JS's journey from being a mere extra to being a box office queen. There's also rivalry between actresses, but I like how there was no use of drugs or getting someone else raped to reach their goals. There's some scheming going on but it's all aboveboard and is what truly happens in this industry, which is so refreshing to read. I'm so tired of reading other novels where a rival digs up a trap for the FL that involves drugs/rape like that's disturbing. The OG!FN in JS's body is the embodiment of class and she's intelligent, witty, has high EQ, ambitious in a good way, and you'll end up really liking her. She doesn't even rely that much on the ML too and they're often separated than together because they're both busy with their respective careers. I wish this novel can be chosen soon and more translated chapters will be released so more people can read this gem of a story!
