Interesting premise, writing is honestly a bit bland, also super ***ist. ML is the stereotypical cold, military man, FL is a dainty medical prodigy, nothing new there, and it’s been written better many times; the romance is fast-paced and about as intriguing as watching paint dry. Don’t be fooled by the first chapter, the writing does a nose-dive literally by the second chapter; it almost feels like a summary of a much better book. On the upside, no fluff! Problems are resolved pretty much the paragraph after they’re introduced, so no cliffhangers here! The setting is super ***ist, with a lot of propaganda about how women being in control of the family leads to ruin, it’s annoying and preachy. Literally all of the villains so far have been strong women, and the problems are resolved by getting men involved. There is not a single strong female character that isn’t evil. Add in a liberal dose of military worship, some more propaganda about how people without jobs are all scum, and you’ve this mess. I’d maybe read it if it was entirely unlocked for free, not gonna spend anything on this one.
