dont think ratings matter much, they pick the one where people spend money to continue reading. obvilusly the ones who complain amd moan about novels not being chosen lose to the quiet ones who spend. therefore they just use data or money to talk.

Trial Read is just so that Qidian can advertise novels. If the translators for the novels wanted to they can still release chapters after it is not "picked" for trial read.
