It seems like a super cliche boring story but it's actually surprisingly interesting. This is what happens when a logical person ends up in these stories. Instead of all the dumbass **** the original MC did, this MC uses his background from the start and acts like an ACTUAL soldier king. I say give it a read.

The original novel is about a guy who suffered in the hands of world's largest assassination group in childhood and then took over it when he was like 16 or something. He became bloodthirsty maniac but had close relationship with only one women who also grew up with him in same organization. But he killed too many people and the friends or relatives of the dead people planned to kill the girl for revenge. By the time he found out that girl was pregnant with his baby and left him because of him being too bloodthirsty, rivals blew her up with bomb hence killing her. MC had emotional breakdown and left everything behind after that. Then he moved to China and started living as lowest level bum where he happened to meet the FMC. Story begins from there.

We should not ignore the fact that he had an illness that made him practically crazy, and only after the girl dies does he come to himself for a moment and return to China to have a calmer life for his own good since any situation stress wakes up this disease, making him lose consciousness of himself and becoming a maniac who just wants to kill (I think it was something like that?)

Yeah it was kind of like tumor. If he kills people again he starts loosing control and go bat **** crazy.
