The reason why he acts like this is due to him being back in high school so he want to adapt to his environment.You wouldn’t want to make friends with someone who talks like he’s twice his age, brag about how much experience he has conparing to them, and calling others children, wouldn’t you? But he doesn’t stay this way for the entire story, his character will develop as he experienced pain and happiness in future events throughout the story.

I’m just being polite. If I get upset and comment some negative things than he’ll get what he wanted. And also I feel like its normal for him to comment this way since my novel isn’t his idea genre.
