To be honest I was really exited about this comic because I love the original novel. But I feel the novel is way better. If you don't know the story some things easily seem like plot holes because this parts were omitted in the comic. I know you can't put everything written into drawing but at least it shouldn't seem like plot holes. Also the characters seem very generic without any dept etc even because many additional informations are left out that went into their reasoning and decision making. And the drawings doesn't at all fit the lovely descriptions in the novel be it the characters or for example the couples home or assistant long (in the novel she's described as slightly chubby but here she's just as thin as a stick like everybody else). If you don't take my knowledge about the novel into account it's all drawn in a certain style to appeal to young girls (luxurious, romantic, everybody fits certain beauty standards). Im sorry but I won't any coins on that

Those of us who read books naturally prefer the details and dense plots in the novel over the comic's beautiful art but lack of material. At least, hey, Mo Ting's character design is HOT!
That's true π but the story still shouldn't feel like it's riddled with plotholes
