I was wondering this too. I supported this and the disciples are villains one. There wasn't that much of a difference in the number of supporters (this one has like 10 more tho) so I wasn't too worried when this wasn't picked but great teacher is newer on the voting trial page and has half the amount of supporters as this one so I'm worried this one will be mistakenly dropped. Let's hope not šŸ˜“

From what Iā€™ve gathered. The number of top fans is just one of the criteria for choosing which of the trail read novels get picked. It is more about profitability. Since each novel is different in term of how many chapters it has, licensing fees, etc. The ā€œPassing Scoreā€ for each of them is also different. For example, a long novel would generally cost more in licensing fees. With regard to the length and high cost, a translation group has to consider how many people will stick till the end of the novel, how many are willing/able to pay for all those chapters and more. They might even look into our reading stats as well. Like for the top fans, our ability to pay, do we read short or long novel, do we tend to drop a novel, etc. Then if they are able to forecast a profit after taking everything into account, would they continue the novel. I just wish Webnovel could make it so that the fans can see clearly, how likely or how much further is required, for the novel they are supporting to get picked.

Yeah but with all these factored in they should just cancel trial read all together or just only give the top fans that can pay the rifght to vote because now all theyre doing is just giving us the illusion of choice and that is worse then no choice at all.
