I'm glad the author took a chance and wrote something a little sweeter and a little less steamy. That said, you should read it. As a writer, it is 10x's more challenging to write a romance that is sweet than something a bit more intense. This book is a nice change of pace from the over-the-top erotica on this site.

Anyway, I agree! Although I like smutty scenes too, but sometimes I don’t really feel the love-of-my-life/true love thing from some novels that are supposedly centred on that theme when smutty/steamy aspect is too overwhelming especially when it’s too much even from the start; feels like it’s only lust and not much of love. I guess it’s just like you said; it’s not that easy to convey/portray that aspect as compared to steamy/erotica thing. Of course I do sometimes read this steamy/erotica too but the sweet true love romance (with hints of spiciness and smut) is always my favourite.
