Review Detail of WhatACliche in Evil Goddess System

Hmm. In all honesty, I probably shouldn't respond with all the assumptions made against me, but I feel I should respond to reviews if I can, and I don't delete reviews like many novels on this site. At least your review doesn't contain any slurs; that's better than some comments, haha. Anyhow, I don't think you were expecting nor really wanted a response, so there's not much I can say. I frequently get comments like these. Either she shouldn't kill anyone, or she should kill everyone she comes across. Should have run, should have fought, should have hid, shouldn't have hid, should have gone left, but went right, jumped when she should have leaped, ducked when she should have dived, etc. The only thing I can really point out is your thinking seems shallow. A bit too black and white. Little to no thought beyond, that's bad, and that's good. All I can ask is if Eira were human and the human's vampires, would that affect your opinion. Sometimes I think I should have reversed things and made humans 'aliens' and Eira 'human.' There are novels like that, and people always cheer the human on. The real issue is everyone can relate to humans, that cashier or police officer, so they feel bad for them. I probably should have set the novel in a fantasy world to detach people a bit more, but I wanted to do it in a world similar to our own. No one can relate to a town guard of the evil empire, but many can to a police officer in a city. As for her actions, I understand why you might feel that way. Mary Sues and Gary Stus that always make the correct decision, things always go great for them, they lack negative emotion, everyone loves them, and they rarely, if ever, suffer consequences. These protagonists are extremely popular in web serials. There's nothing wrong with liking those kinds of protagonists. Web serials are an escape for many. They don't want to read one where things adhere to the real world, that's fine, I like those novels a lot myself. I'd like to point out that the MC does, in fact, say why they did something pretty much every time. Just because it doesn't work out doesn't mean it was the wrong decision. We'll never know if it was the wrong decision, it's possible it was the best decision, and there was no perfect decision. Because that's how reality works. Nearly every action produces positives and negatives. If every time you make a decision it results in only positives then I question your reality. Yet, even so, I still can't help but question how someone can read a novel titled 'Evil Goddess System' and not expect some morally questionable occurrences. Even leave a review citing it as the reason they don't like it. It's a bit baffling. Should I rename it, 'The Morally Questionable MC That Might Make You Reflect,' perhaps...? Sorry, that's not fair; I just don't know why people read novels with the villainous protagonist tag and then complain about the villainous protagonists.
