Since my review of this story, a lot of chapters have come out and my impression has drastically changed. I really liked it before but now I LOVE IT! The last chapter was HYPE!!! I didn't see it coming at all. It's quite sad how such a good book has not been able to get a lot of views. This is a gem that not many understand the value of. I mean, let's take the perspective shifts. When we are following Kais, it's first person perspective. You can clearly get into his mind and see how he thinks. In addition, he actually THINKS! He is not dumb and not super-intelligent either but he can think logically and that makes me like him. On the other hand, when we are following anyone else, it's third person perspective. Now you are only given enough explanation to not make it feel like it's lacking in detail. This makes all of the other characters mysterious and consequently, interesting! And while you may think this means that Kais is not interesting, that's not the case at all. I mean, there IS a reason the latest chapters were HYPE!!! Another unique thing is the use of colons like in theater plays. I like that fact that the author tried to do something different from the start but I later realized that it all has a purpose. By writing the dialogues in such a way, you are sometimes not able to understand a character's emotions at the time of them speaking the dialogue. So when later you do understand them, it's double impact blows you away. Also, details! Those freaking details. You can never tell what detail that felt unnecessary at first suddenly becomes important and throws you off. This is why, when details are given to anything, I am always wondering how it may play into the story. There is so much more to say. This is such a strong story with solid characters and great interactions but the reason I went into detail for those three things is because I've been seeing a lot of people saying that they are negatives for the story. Are you people kidding? Stop judging it from your predefined standards and try to see the beauty of what is there and not of what is not. You will then come to realize that this is a story that, out of all the generic BS that saturates this platform, comes out as something out-of-the ordinary and should be labelled 'must-read' along with @ICARUS-sama's "Ethereal Paradigm" and @Sighe's one-shot named "On The Turn Of a Dime".
