Translation is poor and maybe coupled with the writing style makes it very difficult to read and flow. The plot is good but the translation and writing style makes is very jarring and confusing. The author is attempting an air of mystery but misses the mark and it ends up feeling draggy and contrived. Lacks the punch it was aiming for. Maybe it would be a different read it the translation was done professionally because it feels like a machine translation. Pity though because the plot feels very promising and the FL is unconventional. It feels almost like an she is a spy or undercover agent vs her love interest who is similarly like an undercover agent. I want to keep reading it for the plot but I’m getting more and more frustrated and will probably drop it due to the above reasons.

No I continued it and the translation gets better. The plot was very entertaining and so I actually ended up reading the whole novel on MTL. The better translations set me up so i could understand the characters/names/who was who etc. Still going to read to proper translation later but it all seems to make sense now
so the translation become better after i mean I'm on 20ish chapters and the translation was.... random. I keep reading until my mind get tired at this point really
Yeah i felt that way too, but i really liked the plot. I ended up MTL’ing the rest and somehow developed the art of reading machine translation lol. Don’t even get headaches reading this jumble of words. the expectations are very low for MTL, but high for Webnovel translation (i mean we wait, save up free passes and pay with coins too)
IKR i always have a great expectations for novel that translated on webnovel (because it's official obviobviously) and that's why when i found some novel that translated really bad to the point makes me feels like reading MTL then i rather read MTL because it's free and already completed than reading something with almost the same quality and must paid for it
