While I first believed that the story followed a premise that has often been executed on Webnovel, the author succeeds in gathering an engaging story with unexpected originality that exceeds many of its fellow romance stories. I must confess I am positively surprised by the quality of the writing itself, something that I did not dare hope for. And while my own prejudice might often stop me from reading any romance, as it is often poorly executed, I must say this storyline is quite convincing. While I fail to get a secondhand infatuation with the love interest, I find him to be charming and incredibly likeable (even more so considering the often - pardon my language - juvenile bastards presented as love interests in many other works). The protagonist herself is delightful and grows on me as the story advances. I truly sympathise with her. Overall I believe this story to be a job well done. I am glad to have encountered a romance such as this and look forward to seeing the story progress.
